did you talk to him.
yup, which is one of the reasons I will never be back or purchase their product again

every aspiring home brewer does this.
I've seen a few with the attitude that they know more than me (which they do about brewing) and that my taste is wrong

Not really, I was at a bar they were doing a "release" at and received a free sample. Guy asked me what I thought and I said it was too malty and that I would not buy it. He then lectured me on my taste and how I didn't know what was good and what was not.
Wasn't a bad exchange, just put a sour taste in my mouth. I even went to the 1 year anniversary and well still found the beer meh. I've never purchased their beer before and I doubt I ever will unless they undergo a significant change.

you know kinda like someone saying here taste this and they say "OMG IT IS SOUR" well it is a sour beer.
Am im not defending them because i dont think they have made anything good. Im really surprised they are still open with the same few beers for so long.

but do you think he was telling you that the style of that particular beer was supposed to be malty and you calling it "too malty" was wrong?
quote:I think at this point I know what a West Coast/East Coast IPA should taste like (even a wheat IPA such as Hyla which advertises itself as a tropical/citrus aroma IPA, of course, they say something similar about Pompous Pelican)

What beer were you comparing it to?

Self distribution is holding back the beer scene here IMO.
