and I love the whole "food ignorant" argument. we really have some people that think of this food board as a great place to get opinions don't we?

compared to board full of mainly high school and college students, yes.

FWIW - Taco Bell should have won this.

That would have been a tough decision. popeye's and taco bell are the only 2 national type fast food chains i really like.

There isn't that much hate for Canes in the real world. just on this particular board.

exactly! I have to bitch about otters up here because we don't have a canes..and yes, its absolutely ridiculous that a chicken finger meal at otters is somewhere north of $8 as well. Thats why I never eat there.

i view CFA as regional too....heavily favored by southern rednecks.

so it makes sense that both Poepeye's and CFA made it to the finals on and LSU board.

i like both of them..i voted chick over whataturd in the other round..but again no self-respecting la native can honestly put that bland CFA menu over popeyes. Al Copeland or no, you can't beat that spice.

PS Didn't he retain the exclusive rights to provide the spice/recipes/ingredients to popeyes even after he lost the restaurants?

PPS You could also argue you don't get much more of a 'redneck' in NOLA than Al anyway Loved driving by and seeing his Christmas decorations and I love what he did to that bitch Anne Rice.

RIP Al.

Popeye's is a LA thing though. I know they're everywhere, but on a Georgia website I seriously doubt Popeye's comes even close to winning.

I doubt LSU would fare very well on there either..

The Taco Bell advocates have no one to blame but themselves. They feel asleep at the wheel on the night of the Chic Fil A vs. Taco Bell contest. Taco Bell would have been the only one to have seriously challenged and possibly beaten Popeye's.

Who knew that the "every vote counts" saying would finally hold true on a message board fast food tournament?

I'm still upset with myself, I let them down.

Your vote going to Johnny's Steamroller can make up for your careless mishap with Taco Bell.
