TBD is a Half Acre Big Hugs. Wonderful imperial stout with a nice coffee and chocolate flavor.

Sixpoint Hi-Res is a miss for me. Too much like a sweet barely wine and not enough like an IIPA. I think Avery Hog Heaven is a very good example of a hoppy barely wine and Hi-Res misses the boat.

Lone Pint's Yellow Rose IPA was way good the only time I tried it.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I agree with the comment on Lone Pint's IPA. Very good and pleasantly surprised by it.
I'm also partial to El Hopadillio, Karbach's IPA.

Live Oak HefeWeizen is one of the top Texas beers, IMHO, and might be the best American brewed Hefe.

This isn't even close IMO. The only Hefe as good as Live Oak is Weihenstephaner.

Stink, I just realized we missed our beer lunch. When we meet up I'll give you a run down of some local Texas stuff to look for...have you had lone pint Yellow Rose yet?

ETA - nvm, just saw the Yellow Rose comment.

Once/if I get a keezer, I'm going to always have a keg of Yellow Rose on tap

Well... I've only had it once. And his pic wasn't on the bottle so I dint recognize him.

And historical studies around the time of Christ have never been an interest of mine....nor have any time in history for that matter.

Maybe next session we can change the law again and breweries can sell growlers, because I'd love to bring Lone Pint home

Some good people there too

I'd be surprised if anyone recognized who it is. And as the boards resident Pliny defender, I feel the need to represent

I just read up on his life and death while trying to rescue a friend.

Mt Vesuvius don't play when it has an upset stomach brah!

An admirable death though.

If I ever have a keg of it, I'll do growler fills for you

Fun fact on Pliny, both Pliny the Younger and Pliny the Elder have statues on the Cathedral in Como, Italy....and even they like Heady, Abrasive and Double Jack over PTE

I've literally never tetu'd a beer. And I've drank some shitty ones in my day.

I've literally pounded an entire 6 pack of that awful Wild Blue by Bud before.

There are times when I wish I would have tetu'd a beer.
