Well I mean beer I told them 2nd Line, Nola, Courtyard, and Nola....
I also told them eating wise Ruby Slipper, Cochran, Domenica, and Tujenjias (sp?)
I'm meeting up with them on Saturday at Avenue and then headed to Courtyard and Nola from that point on...

Grear Beer and great food don't intersect a whole lot unfortunately.
What you mentioned isn't bad. I'd recommend Willa Jean instead of Ruby Slipper (Dirty Chai and Irish Coffee). Not a fanboy of Domenica so I will refrain.

Yeah this is a trading partner from Ohio coming down for Mardi Gras, his selection so far is mostly tourist attractions such as Acme, House of Blues, and Hard Rock....
He wants to go to Nola and Avenue since he had heard of them but now interested in Courtyard and 2nd Line thanks to me mentioning them. Also Steins he had never heard of for beer.

Yeah he lives a good 20 minutes from Dallas actually so expanding is an option...

The thing with Steins is that someone on their first visit shouldn't expect anything.
Saying that Steins is the go to place for beer is correct, but people can't expect to walk in and be treated like a regular. Don't expect anything, but what is on display. Which isn't that much better than elsewhere.
That is went Steins has the business they have. They don't roll stuff out the door to whoever, they curate their clientele like they do their beer.

Oh I told him Dan was an a-hole... I said go get a sandwich and a beer and be expected to be treated like nothing but a customer. He said he understands because he is a "chef" or "cook" in Ohio sooooo...
