I went out to the cove last weekend and had one.. And every sip led to me saying "what a good beer" or "mmmm. such a good beer" or always commenting afterwards

The guy behind the bar tried to get me to try some other beers like it but that are more expensive and supposedly better. When I go back I may try them out, but $10-$15 for a single 12oz beer is a little steep.

Agreed. There is no need to spend that kind of money on a beer, except for the occasional special occasion or super rare beer like Westy.

FBD: Straight to Ale Unobtanium. One of the best beers I've had recently. Really like it. Wish I had bought more than one.

Coconut amber ale, pumpkin ale, chocolate stout.

It was supposed to be a mint chocolate stout but the mint really didn't come through.

I would love to try that one. I've had their Monkeynaut IPA and thought it was good. Alabama has some good breweries.

I had their imperial stout last week and it was also pretty good. Motor oil consistency and a smooth taste that hid the booze.

Do it. Do it now. Cider is too easy not to make.

Yeah, so far so good.

I batch added some brown sugar and I'm using some wine yeast and the other batch I added some DME and using a champagne yeast... Yeah I mean some. That's about as much thought as I've put in to these two gallons.

How long should I let these ferment/age? I really don't like the sulfury taste in some homebrewed ciders I've had before.

Ciders with ale yeasts can be ready in a month, easy, but ciders with wine or champagne yeast take a good 3-6 months. Worth the wait.
