Oh god. Haven't seen this thread in a bit but I've had a homebrew or two since lunch and I'm biting the bullet at the moment.

Not bad so far. Not bad at all.

I have not tried that one yet. The Oyster Stout is the best thing I've tasted from Abita.

And I don't think this year's holds a candle to ICS.

I agree. I was just giving Abita some credit for this beer. It is a beer I enjoy.

No doubt that ICS is better. Different levels of beer quality.

Abitas Black IPA from a couple years ago was legit. Too bad they don't re-release some of the better stuff from the select series.

They should look to the Lips of Faith series...

The Oyster Stout is the first Abita beer that I think is better than average.

I'd have to maven taste them.

I was impressed with the Oyster Stout when I had it on tap at Chimes East a month ago. But maybe that's because my expectations were low.

I had the Spring IPA friday night. Didn't care for it. It's not bad, but after about halfway through I kind of got tired of it and the way all of the hop flavor is on the back end. After that I had a Clown Shoes Tramp Stamp and MUCH, MUCH preferred that.

Once again, Abita underwhelms, even with a seasonal.
