Thinking I will get a good variety of Bells in a couple weeks. Have a mule driving from Detroit to BR and has offered to bring back whatever I want that he can find.

Am I good getting anything from Bells?

NBD - thought it would be more coffee, but decent. As it warms it is getting better. The little glass is for Mrs FT.

No. I love their THA and most of their stouts are really good too (Expedition, Kalamazoo, etc), but they have an extensive lineup and there are many holes in it. They make some average beers that are not worthy of bringing from Detroit. Do some research and be specific with your mule. Hopslam is worthy but it is a winter seasonal.

Thanks, he is from the area so maybe I can get a few things I don't know to ask for.

They make some great stuff, but also some average stuff. If he's from the area, he's probably familiar with their lineup.

Kim's right...THA, Hopslam, Expedition Stout, Kalamazoo Stout, and Double Cream Stout are probably the one's I would ask for.

Your mule will prob be able to find a good assortment of bells, founders, Great Lakes, and maybe even some kuhnhenn.

driving from Detroit to BR

We have some extended family that does this ONCE A YEAR. One is a successful lawyer, the other does IT stuff for GM or some tech spinoff of it whose name I've forgotten. I mean why the frick.

Ahem.

FBD/SBD - Sweetwater Happy Ending and Roadtrip.

Line at MSY at 6:00 AM was backed up past SW terminal. Mayhem, but made it. Packed up the shite, just got back in town about an hour ago. The Spec's purchase was over the top. I needed a guy with a dolly to help me carry everything (including the shopping cart) and they either messed up or more than likely gave me a freebie of an entire case of some sort of cheap liquor (I'll find a use for it). Pics forthcoming tomorrow when I unload the truck. Even got a comment from an anonymous maven about the volume (he looked like the internet-famous dude in Ryno's avatar and he lives in Houston AFAIK so I'm going with him).

Thanks for the input, all is noted. I figure it might be a couple hundred dollar mule run when it is said and done.

You flew that back or drove?

I know if I were the one driving I would have less control to stop buying.

Can you find that one in Br? I can confirm Calandros doesn't have it as I looked

Nah, I think Tejas is the closest to La that it comes. First ones I had were in Colorado a few years back, these came from Oklahoma.

Drove with a U-Haul bro. I tried to restrain, I would say mildly successful.
