nice job by Weaver to get out of that bases loaded jam
TBD / Amager Bryghus - Batch One (Danish Barley Wine Ale)
:: whew holy cow .. this thing is a massive beer and quite complex. one of the my favorite beers so far this year ::
Commercial Description:
They nailed it with this synopsis. The Simcoe hops work so well balancing out the thickness of the silky, rich malts.

Commercial Description:

With this special brew, Batch One, we dared to experiment with combining our usual devotion to a solid malt profile with the addition of American aroma hops. Batch One is an American-inspired Ale characterized by its vast, full body and generous use of hops. In the glass, it has a reddish-brown colour with a coppery glow, and a beige-coloured head leaves a nice lacing behind. For this brew we have chosen to only use the noble Simcoe hop, both for boiling and the following dry-hopping. The hops give the beer its fresh citrus-like character and impart a solid bitterness to balance the sweet caramel malt.

First and only BD- Porcine Unidragon
I love Blaecorn and this is really good as well. Kind of boozy, and I don't really pick up the smoked malt flavor much, but I really enjoyed it. Need to do a side by side with the Blaecorn in the future to see if I can taste the difference.

F&SBD
The white oak is (and only imo) better than the humidor IPA(Spanish cedar aged). Still I'd take regular over either.
I'm just not a big wood aged IPA fan I guess.

Oh yes. Very impressive.
This was part of a France44 order from a couple weeks ago. $9.69 fwiw. Beer Advocate has this to say:

Notes:
This beer is retired; no longer brewed.
so if the site still has some I'd jump on it.

Here's what I ended up with. Curious to try the bells double cream stout and the hoppin frog Natasha rocks.

woah where'd you find that Hoppin' Frog?!
that Gubna is a beast.
Dale's Pale Ale is very solid.
Southern Tier Iniquity is decent I guess for a black ale.
haven't had that Stone of the G'Knight.

The wine world at grande boulevard near sandestin. I was craving a black ipa and figured the iniquity would scratch that itch. I've got some deviant dales that I already threw in the fridge. I'm a big OB fan

Nope but it's on my wants list.
Posted on 5/29/13 at 11:09 pm to Rohan2Reed
Meh... I like Posey, Molina, Perez since Mauer isn't really a catcher anymore
Posted on 5/29/13 at 11:10 pm to Rohan2Reed
i'll catch you a g'knight if i come across one in specs this weekend.
