Thanks, fellas.

Zealot, we'll need to meet up for a beer next time you're in town since I canceled on the last one.

TCO - You are blessed. Congratulations!

I'm helping my daughter study for her math final, tomoorrow, so my BD will be later, and it will be an Elevated IPA.

I remember when she was in the NICU for 6 weeks. There is no more helpless feeling in the world. One disadvantage is that when they come home, you're on your own - no nurse to help you. Those preemies need to be fed often, round-the-clock, so get your rest when you can...

I don't know about that, and I say that as a huge fan of Elevated GOAT.

I'm just not sure it's a fair comparison being that Ghoast is a DIPA. I'd say Ghost and Double Jack rival each other on the nose.

I did pour at 59 degrees....maybe that brought the aroma out.

Yellow Rose has a great smell, though the taste (while still good) is a bit of a letdown.

Most over hyped beer on the FBD....except maybe celebration.

Thanks, Jax. You're right. It's easily the worst, most helpless feeling I've ever experienced.

I know it won't be easy, but we can't wait to get her home. We're like little kids on Christmas eve right now.

What was it like? Any fruit left?

It was excellent. I wish I had taken a picture of the color in the glass. It was light in color(almost raspberry color), but dense as I couldn't see through it. The cork was in perfect shape.

You're just upset that Dallas can't make a consistent IPA worth a damn...well, except for Zappa Dust, but that hippie brewer is too lazy to brew it regularly.

I'm no homer. But Deep Ellum IPA is heads and shoulders above yellow rose...so is Hop Trapp....so Is Dankosaurus....although I count that as an East Texas Beer. The Zythos (sp) series Lone Pint does are very good. Yellow Rose is timid and bland.

I gave up on Deep Ellum IPA because it seemed to change every time I drank it. I would never choose Hop Trapp over Yellow Rose and I haven't had Dankosaurus.

Judging by beer reviews, a lot of people agree with me. That's the beauty of beer though, everyone likes what they like.

Very nice 8th. Had a couple old fashions, and my cousin brought over the coffee/cinnamon version of that. What did you think?

You do have to get it fresh.

FBD Abita Espresso Stout. Pretty good beer, I enjoyed the Stone Master of Disguise much more.
