Happy Friday fellas. Starting this one early with a dry hopped Commotion. Not as pretty as the DDH batch that was shipped down a few months back, but the dog'll hunt:

Took the day off from work. Heading to Minneapolis this afternoon for the weekend. Should be a cold one up there, but excited to spend Saturday afternoon at Surly. One can only wish it was summer... an amazing outdoor space.

Anyway, FBD is Hoppy Days by Hop Butcher. I love the use of Equinox hops in this and too many are comparing it with their taste of Galaxy Bowl.

that'll be a solid weekend. Hot out today, not ready for this cold front. Luckily no snow.

NBD is a Devil's Harvest. Not sure what batch this is, they had tweeted of freshness but this is the new new recipie, watered down:

FBD is Whole Foods Save Our Post IPA

Not "juicy" like the recent Hop Explorer. This one is more like Oskar Blues IPA. It's good and refreshing. A bit lower alcohol than Hop Explorer.

Is that their first attempt at dialing in the house IPA? Talked with the brewer the other day -- said they were about to tap it. Also had a tv crew in there filming something for CW39, need to find the clip.

Next up is another DH at lunch:

Yeah, the dude called it their "house IPA". How is that any different than what Hop Explorer is? They've done seven of those.

Also, that's an odd looking color for a beer in your pic.

3BD is WF Slalom Stout. Best non-hop beer I've had from them. Very good stout.

Do the hot wheels have a part in this big day?

I think they wanted to get a recipie nailed down like POPA and DL to go in their regular rotation, while still doing the Hop Explorer as they get in different stuff.

That's what the ghost of a good beer looks like. Luckily she died to save CC.

Next up is a GITM. Not sure on this batch, very Opus-y. More research needed.

Yeah, that looks too clear for Ghost.

That said, if just a more alcohol version of Opus, I might enjoy it. The total juice bombs, while very good, aren't quite my top preference.
