Parish. First time visiting; surprised at the size. Kind of small.

Yeah, the taproom is nothing special.

A little too bitter for my liking

I thought it was a bit too malty. Okay, a lot too malty. Not tetu territory, but I have another in the fridge and it probably would not be consumed if I still lived in Oregon.

Why doesn't Parish pony up and build a world class taproom?

Well, there were only like 5 other people there. The two tap rooms I’ve been to the most, Great Raft and Straight to Ale, are big and usually packed.

My pour wasn't that malty. It was just straight up bitter hops like a Stone Ruination. Mainly bitter hops with little of the floral hops.

Parish Brewery is in no mans land and they can’t expand due to others owning land around them and not selling.

May have to drink that other can. For science...

Could be one of those beers that tastes different on tap.

The taproom doesn't have to be at the production facility, does it? Couldn't they have it in Laffy or BR? Or does that violate some state statute?

Not sure but I can’t name any brewery off the top my head that has a tap/retail location separate from the brewery. (La).

According to owners of Flying Heart, it has to be in the same location.

They are waiting to sink their money into a nice taproom when they move their operations to Texas.

Abita has a separate restaurant. But they probably aren’t considered a “craft” aka “small batch” brewery.
