My experience, not much. Especially local beers. Being in Acadiana with Parish and Bayou Teche alone beats their local stuff.
Nearby states have legit stuff, though.

Fair Winds and Port City in Alexandria are both good. The only one in DC I am aware of is DC Brau. Oh, and The Bruery recently opened up a store in DC.
If you can find it look for Aslin. It's out a ways from downtown DC but still in NOVA and so you might find kegs around DC. You might find some bars with Hill Farmstead on tap.
If you decide you want to make the trip to Richmond let me know. I'll take you around to any number of the breweries here.
