Tried going to work at 7:30, almost got stranded on Earhart near Loyola, had to wrap around and take I-10 towards Slidell till Gentilly, turned around, went all the way back down 1-10 to Claiborne, all the way down Claiborne and got right to my street by Tulane - was flooded. Had to walk 3 blocks down street with water to the knees to find the bottom floor 4 inches flooded. Took two hours to not get to work and find the house flooded.

So I’m having a fricking beer.

FBD is a Two for the Sages by NOLA. It’s good. Like an herbal, fruity sour as you’d expect. Sage and blackberry pair very nicely. Its not too sour either. That’s all I got.

Damn. Very, very sorry. At least you are trying to make the best of the shitty situation. Ring your insurer up.

If I knew I could get to the NS, I’d be there with y’all now!

Happy Birthday, btw!

Damn. Sorry. We're still in CA and the odds of getting back tomorrow as scheduled do not look good.

I live in Mid-City right off of Banks toward the end a couple blocks from the cemeteries at the end of Banks St.

We had bad street flooding and it was coming up my driveway and getting near the downstairs entrance before it finally stopped raining and the pumps caught up.

A neighbor of mine who was out trying to get to work told me that along parts of Tulane it is still holding water.

Sorry to hear about the flooding on the ground floor. That sucks.

Damn. Happy you made it out dry!

We just use the downstairs as storage. It’s unfinished, so no real drywall work to redo or anything. Some shite got wet and is probably lost, but nothing we have touched in probably a year, so all in all, we’ll be fine. The water has already receded completely out of the house. We went and grabbed the car from the neutral ground and are back home making lunch.

SBD is a LOL Gose by US. Citrusy, sour. Lightly salty, as it should be.

My bottom floor contains my man cave and a woodworking shop, so lots of value down there in tools and equipment that I really wouldn't want to have to move in a hurry.

The man cave is finished and the shop is all open studs with no rock anywhere.
