I'm assuming relatively low ABV stouts? Would be dangerous in a boozy BA stout and i wouldn't wanna mess up the flavor of a bcbs

No these are non BA stouts/porters. I usually use a cheaper bourbon like EC.

Flavor on the front was slightly muted so maybe tuning up the whirlpool or adding more citra during the end of the boil might fix that (if 5 gallon stepdown of the recipe meshes with your setup.)

That recipe is eerily similar to my NEIPA recipe. One/two additions in the malt bill and change some hops around, but probably tastes very similar. Those lupulin powder hops as a dry hop charge are like cheating.
