I still own a duplex in the quarter that my mom lives in one side of. The piss, bums, and derelicts make that city what it is. I will always have a place there and call it home but I hope I never ever live anywhere but the mountains again. I love it every time I visit and for a day or two I think about moving back.....but only until I go see my friends. Its high school all over again. I'm over it. Even with all that, I want my kids to know and love that city and feel at home there.
