FBD - Beautiful Sunday in Southern Louisiana

Morning Krewe!
I’ve got a beer I’m brewing for Brieux Carré’s 2-year Anniversary next Saturday that I took a sample from for a gravity reading after adding a few pounds of mango pulp yesterday. It’s a light kettle sour Milkshake NEIPA with mango.
FBD is a crowler of an extremely similar beer in Miel’s Liquid Luck dry-hopped sour. This beer is a fantastic representation of the style. Beers of this style can tend towards acrid, astringent bitterness with the hop flavor compounds becoming overly emphasized by the low pH. This one is, however, not that at all! Bright and refreshing with a well-played hop note to match. Stellar beer!

Yessir! I’ll be the guy trying not to get roped into working the event. 
For real though, I will probably start a thread about it Friday just seeing who all is going.

SBD is a single bottle of American Beauty I bought at Rouse’s yesterday to try. It’s a toffee/graham cracker malt character with a moderate pine hop quality. The granola seems to come through some, but the honey probably just fermented out as it pretty much always does. It’s a touch sweet for me, but not a bad beer. Glad I didn’t buy a 6-pack of it, though.

FBD is a Slice Life at the new Ex Novo taproom while waiting on a piece of pizza and watching the game. This Slice Life is pretty good.

Trying out a new-ish beer. FBD is Biran's Tipyos, a NEIPA from Hardywood. It's pretty tasty with subtle grapefruit flavors & dialed back on the bitterness. Would drink again.
