I wonder if Jack's was hurt by being confused with Jack in the Box who became infamous for food poisoning

Not even close, it’s freakin awful, but that is to be expected of food originating in this area.

I’ve eaten at four. Decatur, Muscle Shoals, Huntsville, and Stevenson. Actually maybe in Fort Payne as well. Can’t remember been awhile since I stayed in that area. They have all been garbage.

Last time I went up 65 a few weeks ago I stopped at the one on Cullman. It was the furthest one north I was looking at. I didn't search the Huntsville area, I wasn't waiting that long. That one, the ones in Tuscaloosa, the one in Prattville off the interstate, and in Birmingham have been great every time. Honestly it's impressive, it's like Chick Fil A tier quality, service and cleanliness.

I'm sorry your experience has been different

I don't know if I'd classify them as regional anymore. We have one here in Columbia.

there's a Del Taco in Dothan

Backyard Burger used to be good as hell too. I used to stop at the one on Taylor Road in Montgomery. They've all but disappeared now

Dothan Del Taco closed (I think)

They got a Barberitos though, which is a good addition to this thread

Same with Zaxby's. Chicken finger places seem to do that. They shoot up in popularity, expand too quick and then quality goes to shite. I remember when Guthrie's was good. Now it's complete garbage and practically out of business.
