Turkey legs.

Worst or maybe...oddest...was the time I had a gumbo poboy. It wasn't like a debris/roast beef poboy but with gumbo flavors. It was deep fried gumbo balls that kinda oozed out when you bit into them. All on a bun with lettuce, tomato, American cheese and mayo.

Happy to see double mentions of my hometown fair! French Food Fest fave: the fresh, made on the spot grattons and hogsheads cheese.

I ended up getting the $7 polish sausage with grilled onions and mustard. I am pleased to report that it was actually very good. The funnel cake was on point as well.

I enjoy all the classics: Turkey leg, roasted corn, giant cup of thin curly fries, corn dog, funnel cake.

That boucherie crew is tops. We’ve retired from the fair after a long run.

I had the sampler at the st Mary Magdalene fair in Metairie tonight. It was fantastic. And I’m pretty hard to impress. It was jambalaya. A tamale. And the crawfish pie was awesome. It was kind of like a mini open style chicken pot pie. Not your standard hand pie. Everything was excellent. Props to whoever cooked that stuff

Candy Apples

Too hard on my George Washington teeth but I love a good caramel apple. Funnel cake and cotton candy. Fried snickers, ribeye sandwich.
