And is that beer under/over 10% abv, less than 10% of total sales, or what

10% of total sales. I'll see if I can find it.

It was on the Brewers association's website. Andrew Godley from Parish is the head of the LA association and they clarified that recently.

I'd like to know if that is dollars or volume. (I assume dollars)

Would be cool to have a local day like dark lord, Hanupah, etc

The breweries also took advantage of the opportunity of having everyone in one place to network and learn from each other about the craft beer business. They were grateful to learn that Kirk Coco, of NOLA Brewing Co, got a letter from the LA ATC stating that packaging breweries & pubs can sell out of the brewery 10% of their beer for off premise consumption - a real game changer, as previously, they could only offer free samples and not charge for beer in their tap rooms. The ATC's new commissioner, Troy Hebert, is a big supporter of craft beer. The health department is also generally craft friendly in this state.

That's great news...

Last I heard the bill that was passed was for spirits only and they were leaving it up to the ATC to determine if they were going to allow breweries to sell directly. 10% is low, but it's a good start.

Andrew told me he was thinking about doing something like that for the next Grand Reserve release. It would be pretty cool for sure.

no, that would be shitty. Thankfully it was distributed and B was able to grab a couple for me. If it was sold like Dark Lord, I wouldn't have any.

FWIW, I shipped one of the bottles to San Diego to the cousin who started me on my craft beer journey. I have a lot of respect for his opinion on different beers, and he love the Grand Reserve. Still haven't cracked open mine, but think I will soon.

I cracked one open at my engagement party last month. It was fantastic.

I have 2 more aging. Will crack open one this December, and another the year after.

Well... I doubt we'll have 10K people waiting at parish to try to get some of the beer.

true, but that's all the less that gets sent out into distribution

and nearly every opinion I've heard about Dark Lord Day is that it is a complete clusterfrick, so again, no thanks
