Not sure what they typically have on Thursdays, but the Shrimp Poboy is great. Hope they're serving lunch tomorrow, doubt I'll be able to get there today.

BP has rejected my claim because I am too far away from the affected area. Crazy.

Don't give up on that. I think there will be a line drawn, for sure, but it's too early in the game.

Stopped by for lunch today while y'all were slammed. Got one of each lunch special to go; both tasty. Will miss you. Good luck and God bless.

Oh, I'm not. Just frustrating because we know some people that got money that didn't deserve it while others didn't get it and deserved it (seafood places like us that relied heavily on seafood). I have been working with them for over 2 months now and have gone to the claims office in slidell twice and have given them so much documents.

Our deli will be open until 8pm tonight and tommorrow our market portion (all the dry goods and frozen goods) will be open only. No deli tommmorrow.

Thanks for everyone that stopped in.

I remember reading a while back that you were getting crawfish from Spain because of a lack of supply around here. How are those by the way? Never even knew Spain had a crawfish business.

They are pretty good. Better than the chinese stuff. We've cooked with them and could barely tell the difference. I prefer to use the local stuff though because it is local and it has a better fat content which helps with flavor in my opinion.

All of Europe eats crawfish. Finland is a heavy producer as well.

Well hell, I've been trying to eat healthily during the week but I may have to get a shrimp poboy and onion rings tonight. I was hoping it would be open tomorrow.

Jason, its good to see such an outpour of well wishes on this thread. I always enjoyed the food and working next door to you guys for the last two years was nice!

Going out of business is no fun. As you know, in 2006, I did 25 Million in sales. In 2008, after taking about $500K in hits from customers that I had been selling since the late 80's, my bank pulled my $3 Million dollar line of credit and not much longer after that, I found myself unemployed.

I am better off today than I was when I did $25 Million in sales in 2006, I just didn't know it when I was forced into closing my doors. I thought it was the end of the world back then.

Keep your heads up and keep on pluggin away. Good things will come ya'll's way. Will see you guys Saturday when I get in from Jonesborro.
