I make a lemon chicken orzo soup. Basically chicken soup with orzo and squeeze a Meyer lemon in it. It has amazing flavor and believe it or not I first had one similar at Panera Bread.

I love soup, it's probably my favorite meal. A good soup, a good crusty bread and cheese is the best. Hopefully it cools down here soon- I need some soup!

I'd cook this a lot in my last job. It's easy, very inexpensive, and low cal/fat high fiber. Also delicious.

White Bean Basil Chicken Chili
But I'd use kidney beans instead of white beans

one of my most favorite soups. It's not as lean as the first one- not by a mile- but it's awesome
Barefoot Contessa's Cheddar Corn Chowder

and I love, love, love a good pumpkin (or butternut squash) soup. Haven't tried this one, but can't wait to make it. Scroll down all the way to the bottom.
Pumpkin, Sage and Bacon Soup

eta- saw a good idea on Punchfork, Tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons. Looked awesome

i just made a mushroom soup I found on pinterest on Monday. It was really good but a little too rich for me. I used white mushrooms, brown and shitake.

I love soups. I eat soups year round and it's not always pho. My favorite to make is chicken tortilla stew. I also just made a lasagna soup last night and it's delish!

I have a white cheddar soup in the recipe book that's so good, especially when it's cool outside.
