Looking to mail order a German Chocolate Cake for delivery to my kid.

Anyone ever do this and have good luck? Remember the online bakery you used?

Have ordered many times from mygrandma.com. They don't have a German Chocolate, but the Ted Williams Chocolate is fantastic. In fact, all the cakes are great. You can order online, or call them. Super nice people. Good Luck.

Zingermans.com will deliver an excellent cake. Flavors rotate seasonally. LINK

What about a local bakery where your child is? Perhaps one delivers there or your child could pick it up?

Thanks. I've phoned a few locals. None have said they can make a German Chocolate yet. I do have one potential bakery that asked me to call back tomorrow and speak to their owner.

Ruston is the town btw if anyone knows of a good bakery there.

That might be more of a challenge.

Primos Cafe in Jackson. Trust me, they are the best around.

I don't know that every kind of cake is a candidate for shipping. Poupart Bakery in Lafayette makes German Chocolate Cakes, but they only ship King cakes and Doberge. It looks like the cakes others linked were also limited kinds.

Good luck!

ETA: Oops, looks like the post above mine proves that my theory is wrong!

Apparently, Gambino's ships them frozen.

Social Bites of Ruston said they could do something for me and they deliver to the campus. I'll give them a try.

He comes home for Quarter Break in a few weeks so he'll get my homemade German Chocolate then.

Thanks to all for the replies. I've bookmarked the suggestions for future reference.

Mailed an ice cream cake once but they said the box was all gooey when it arrived.
