I swear there was an old thread about this but I cannot find. Believe the consensus was gooseneck is the best option?

Got the gf a kitchen aid a couple years ago. It gets used daily and she loves it.

Cooks Illustrated reviewed them in 2016.
Winner: OXO Brew Cordless Glass Electric Kettle ($80)
Best Buy: Capresso Silver H2O Electric Kettle ($55)
Highly Recommended: Breville Crystal Clear Electric Kettle ($100)
I have a cheapie by Bodum. Works great to crank out boiled H2O for Better than Bullion or tea.

I’ve had a gooseneck and a top pour. The gooseneck crapped out pretty quickly while my top pour from Costco is going on at least 2 years. It doesn’t really make a difference if you can pour slowly.
