I assume they have egg sandwiches?

House made brioche hollowed out. Two organic locally grown eggs cracked inside. Smith Dairy organic cream poured inside. Baked and then covered in imported Gruyere cheese. Nothing like it available in the entire state. IMO the best breakfast item possible. Organic eggs poached in organic cream? Heaven on Earth. No sandwich just greatness.

In fact, I prefer those big ole brown "rooster bullets", that you buy from the old lady down that gravel or shell road... The ones that are kinda dirty and have "stuff" all over them, but, about 4 of them fill up a cast iron skillet... I don't think they are organic..

If you could tell the difference between an organic egg and regular egg I will buy you a steak dinner.

You really don't want to take that bet broh. I grew up eating my uncles wife's completely organic eggs. I can tell the difference from looks alone. The color of the yolk is a tell tell sign.

Touche. She grew up in Holland during WWII and only had truly organic methods before it was chic. They had a 700 acre place in Pearlington, MS and grew everything to European standards starting in the early 1970's.

I guess you could call me lucky.

I'm about to make a grilled cheese sandwich and possibly put egg on it but definitely ham. Anyway, I'm always looking for new grilled cheese ideas because it's the simplest yet most delicious snack, and found this:

quote:

Here’s what it is: two slices of Sullivan St Bakery pullman, one layered with Vermont Cheddar and a slice of boutique bacon, the other slathered with a béchamel that’s been spiked with, get this, shards of crisp pork belly and enough grated Gruyère to feed a Swiss family of four. Here’s the clincher: The outside of the bread is slicked for the fry pan not with butter or margarine the way Mommy used to do it, but with aïoli. That the bread is cooked to a golden sheen and the cheese to that perfect temperature technically called oozing goes without saying, and so does the fact that you shouldn’t eat more than one per month. Dieters, take note: “We make it without the bacon and pork-belly béchamel for vegetarian people,” says Skeen, “but it’s frowned upon.”

Can I just die now? Yum.

Blind taste test of poached eggs. I'll bet a dinner at Clancy's you can't tell the difference within the margin of error.

What is the error? If I can't I will pay for you and your skank du jour to have brunch at Patois on a Sunday.

Obviously if we only tried it once there is a 50/50 shot that you could just guess it right. We would have to repeat it like 10 times and you would have to guess the organic egg 9/10 times for it to be legit.

LOL... Trust me Patois is the best brunch in town. Dante's is the second best Uptown for sure. Patois is on a different level.

I like simply an open faced sandwich on toast, smeared with Smuckers strawberry preserves, topped with a poached egg. There's nothing better when that poached egg oozes all over that toasty goodness with that taste of strawberries.

I also like Ikura Hand Rolls, which is salmon roe rolled up in sushi rice and nori. It's not a chicken egg, but hey, this is all about egg sandwiches, right?

Also, thank you and congrats to everyone for not mentioning Balut in this thread.

Is it limited to taste only, or can he factor in whether he gets sick or not after eating it?
