I was recently given a deer roast and haven't cooked one in several years. Anyone have a quick and easy crock pot recipe to share? Thanks in advance.

Mississippi is good, we also brown the roast and throw it in the crock pot with the potatoes, onions, and carrots. Also throw in some brown gravy mix.

If you follow that MS Roast recipe, I would recommend adding onions, garlic, and S&P. Recipe only calls for the seasoning packets but it's not enough seasoning for my taste.

We add onion, mushrooms, and a little broth as well to help make a little more gravy

I have a similar recipe and we use"

1 packet good seasons italian seasoning mix
1 can french onion soup
1 can golden mushroom soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup

If I make a sandwich like a roast beef po boy I'll add pepporocino's on the sandwich, I've never added it in the crock pot but that's a good idea. They do go great with these recipes.

My version adds a packet of dried Italian Dressing...

Can't be beat.
