If you haven't been to Moon's in Antioch, you haven't lived.

Not even remotely true. Acme is straight garbage.

Drago's Charbroiled Oysters are like crack. They are amazing.

Personally, I don't like anything else there. But the Oysters are amazing.

I agree with this.

Pretty much this. Although, it's probably the best and most reasonable place in New Orleans to order lobster, so that's normally what I will get there after having the oysters for an appetizer.

Thanks for all the info and I'll definitely give these a shot next time I'm in the area. The mixture of chargrilled + garlic + cheese just looks too good to pass up.

I love Drago's Metairie location, I have never been disappointed in anything there. I used to belong to a group that met there monthly, sometimes we got some of the Yugoslavian items on the banquet menu, fantastic. The oysters are incredible, raw and grilled.

Tommy's community service post-Katrina was so over and above the call of duty I will always admire him and patronize his business. It is not a sacrifice.

Saw these on the Food Network the other night. Are they really that good/worth the trip to Drago's next time I'm in nola?

I don't thinks so.

I would prefer another type of baked oyster.

My lunch was quite good, and reasonable in price.

Yes, they are that good. I usually do a dozen raw and dozen chargrilled. Not a big fan of the menu, but the shucky ducky is pretty good, although rich and filling. Haven't noticed much if any difference in Metarie and Hilton locations.

Easily one of my top 3 foods. I agree with the poster who said a dozen for appetizer and another dozen for entree

I don't even eat oysters (I hate the texture) but the charbroiled oysters from Drago's were delicious.

Best in the city IMHO but probably overpriced. ACME's are pretty decent too.
