The OP isn’t willing to Uber to his BBQ, you think he’s interested in standing in line for hours?

For the record, I'm more than willing to wait in line or Uber. I'm with a group of 7-8 and am looking for something relatively easy for a group.

Also, we won't be getting there until 7PM or so. Franklin's will be sold out long before then.

You answered your own question. If you want any you have to get in line at like 5-6 a.m.

They extended their dine in opening date, still only to go for the foreseeable future. OP could pick it up and go to a park and eat.

ETA didn’t see dinner service, good luck

There is actually a park right around the corner from Franklin’s. It’s where we ate when we got curbside last year. Franklin’s, La barbecue, Leroy & Lewis, Interstellar, a myriad of choices around Austin.

Sorry I should clarify. I didn’t intend to imply that you aren’t willing to make an effort, I just meant you were hoping to just walk somewhere so the idea of selecting a spot that only isn’t walkable but also requires standing in line for hours wasn’t exactly feasible.

Personally, I've never been a fan of Cooper's, but the location makes it easy.

Not sure if this is too far for your group, but I always love going to one of Kerlin or la Barbeque.
