Just got back from the seafood lot in Westwego and picked up 6 lbs. of large shrimp for this dish. They were huge so I decided to count them and had 55 shrimp total in the 6 lbs. for a 9 per lb. average.

This is going to be good.

ETA: They also had tons of live crawfish anywhere from $1.99 to $2.30 a lb. They did have mixed sacks for $1.39 a lb. but I'd bet they were mostly small size for that price.

Busy as all get-out too with cars lined up at times to get into the lot.

Almost too big. I find a 16-20 to be the perfect size.

$6 a lb. They had 11/15's for $5.50.

I deal with Ruthann's booth almost every time I go there. Consistent product and good prices.

Not me. But to each their own. If the wife decides to do it after they are cooked, that's on her.
