Does Lafayette have a culinary school?

Is there a culinary school in the greater Lafayette area? Any with a good reputation? Thanks.

Per some posters on here that went to school, a basic culinary school teaches you how to chop veggies.

The premier one in the state is in Thibodaux at Nicholls

still have my job, just realized I really like to cook and would like to refine my skills/pursue the passion for my own benefit. Would be cool to take night classes or something. Do not ever want to actually work in the restaurant industry.

Then I probably wouldn't pay much for culinary school classes. It's 2017, YouTube and sites like serious eats have legit stuff you can learn from.

I miss the comradery of classes though. I don't want to learn on YouTube...I want to learn from a teacher in person. It seems like it would be fun and a lifelong skill.

SLCC has a program, but I don't know much more than that. I just looked at the curriculum and it doesn't look exciting.
