Yes, even though I've come to expect it. If they get it wrong, it's due to ignorance or laziness, both of which piss me off.

Yesterday, I ordered a biscuit with hash browns through the McDonald’s app. I went through the drive-thru, gave them my mobile order, and they told me they were out of hash browns. I asked if I could get a refund or swap it for something else. They came back and said, “Our mistake, we actually do have hash browns.” So I grabbed my bag, drove off, and felt like an idiot when I realized, while already on the highway, they never gave me the hash browns. That wasn’t a mistake. They knew exactly what they were doing, and I got irrationally angry. Probably be a year before I get suckered into going to McDonald’s again.

I've never had a McDonald's hash brown make it out of the parking lot.

Toddler. Get it with everything on it like you're supposed to and you won't have this issue nearly as often.

A McD hash brown patty has to be the greasiest item in the fast food kingdom. You can just pinch one between your fingers and see the grease run out. The hash browns at Waffle House are health food in comparison.

One this subject, the jalapeno cheese biscuit at Whataburger is better than any biscuit at a white table cloth restaurant. There used to be little grocery store on Hwy 73 in Geismar between Hwy 74 and Hwy 30 that was always full of plant workers every morning. You could buy a dozen biscuits for about $5, hot and buttery, they were incredible. I'd bring those to the vessels I was inspecting that morning, the crews would welcome me.

All depends on the establishment. If you mess up an item on a $7.99 combo at Taco Bell I’ll never be upset. Shame on me for eating there. If I’m paying $50+ for a steak that’s well over cooked I’m sending it back.

Chimes, back in the day, always had good ribeye specials. I would order it rare every time knowing that at worst it will come out medium.

I will never understand this logic. If I order something and pay money for it, I'm getting what I paid for.

The only fast food I've had in the past 5+ years are very simple things that can't really be messed up. Chicken from Chick-fil-a or Canes, ice cream from Sonic, and sliders from Smalls a few times.

I also wouldn't get a customized order at a fast food restaurant (other than naked tenders at Canes).

Pull up to the McDonalds order screen -

Automated message: Hi! Welcome to McDonald’s. Will you be using the mobile app today?

Me: Yes, order XYZ

McDonalds employee: You could go head with your order.

Me: Order XYZ on the app.

McDonalds employee: What?
