Saw Mabiles on the small town food maps.....

Family will be in town tonight and driving elsewhere is too inconvenient.... so, in LaP - whats best?

Frenier?
Mabile?
Pier 51?
Petra?

Other ideas? And yes, i will grab some andouille before i leave town.

Frenier has a nice view/setting. Food is okay, service varies widely based on who you get (often young ppl). It’s not fabulous but it is serviceable.

There’s a few good seafood spots on river rd in destrehan/Norco area. Can’t think of the names offhand. Middendorfs isn’t too much further up 55 And the low rd is a scenic drive.

Seafood Pit in Destrehan has great seafood. I’m cool with the view and cold beers at Frenier. Food is ok I guess. No to Petra

I like "Bec's at the Lake" ....it's right next to Freneir Landing...the food is very good with generous servings at reasonable price. Their chicken/smoke sausage gumbo is outstanding. It's a little smaller restaurant than Frenier Landing but the service is excellent.

Mabiles is the best on your list that I’ve been to. Wayne Jacobs Smokehouse is good option, but I don’t know if it’s open at night.

Petra blows.

Pier 51 is not bad.

Never been to Frenier.

Mabiles closes around 5-6 so don't expect a late meal there. Wayne Jacobs is probably the best but idk if they are open tonight

Mabiles has great sandwiches but 5 on a Friday. Wayne Jacobs is good also. Best option of all if open.

Agree with the sentiment on Petra.

Pier 51 has solid food, poboys are giant and overstuffed.

Frenier has the best atmosphere but the food and service is hit or miss.
