Any favorite restaurants we should hit up on our trip to Bend in a couple weeks? We will be in the downtown area

Ate at Wild Rose Thai and it was pretty good. Can't recall much else.

Not near downtown, but we grabbed lunch at the Cuban Kitchen (happened to drive by the last Blockbuster at that exit unexpectidly)
Grabbed some bakery items to go at Sparrow and then coffee at Thump in the Grove across the street from Sparrow. The Grove looked like it had a lot of really good options. Kind of a food court style indoor shop. If I went back, I'd probably try a smattering of things from there.

Friend,
We ate at Ken’s Artisan Pizza of Bend last week. Although the service was excellent, we thought the pizza dough was a little under-hydrated and the dough too stiff for Neapolitan. It was not as good as the only other Ken’s in Portland
Pisano’s in Tumalo just north of Bend is okay, but I wouldn’t be sad missing it. There is a group of food trucks and a not good steakhouse just around the corner there.
The only do not miss restaurant in Bend for me is McKay’s Cottage. The breakfast there is excellent. I use an entire bottle of their house made hot sauce with each entree. Perfect for preparing for a hike at the nearby lava flows or hike around Crater Lake.
We are back in Cannon Beach at a family friend’s home. We had an excellent meal at Anna’s Table tonight. Lunch from Ecola Seafood was solid. I had the fried oysters, which were large and plump. They use a batter similar to English fish and chips, which is not my favorite, but the natural greatness of the local oysters overcame that limitation.
