MD, speckled butter beans are by far my favorite bean and maybe my favorite vegetable.

Lots of good memories waking up early at my grandparents house and going out into the garden to pick beans. Coming back in and prepping for the freezer.

You wouldn't mind if I call them "old timey beans"? We enjoy them a lot, but lots of folks have never had any.

That might be the cleanest, most organized deep freeze I've seen.

Deleting my internet history so my wife doesn't see that pic, or I'll have hell to pay.

We keep our stuff together in boxes or in grocery bags so that we have a pretty good idea what we have.

I'm a freezer Nazi. My stepmom follows the "Throw it in there and forget about it until we clean out the freezer and throw it away" school of thought and it drives me crazy when I go there and she needs me to fish something out.

I have clear boxes with labels in my freezer. I use these shoeboxes from Bed Bath and Beyond and my neat freezer where everything is labeled and easy to find makes me happy. They're a buck a piece.

We also use plastic boxes in our Meat freezer in Laundry Room.

Cardboard boxes in the chest freezer seem to hold more and work just fine - we have lots of vegetables to store.

Kitchen freezer is reserved mostly for ice cream, popsicles and ice cream sandwiches. Popsicle overflow is in the bottom of the meat freezer. Like all good popsicle eaters I buy only the best and buy them in bulk from Sam's.
