I have a feeling that show would be crucifed on this board if not for the close connection to the host.

Why is that?

It doesn't seem like the kind of show many people on this board would watch regularly, but the general public loves stuff like that. Just look how popular Diners Drive-Ins and Dives is.

I hope Jays show gets picked up. He deserves it.

I thought Eddie Jackson was going to throw him a bone and offer a cameo on his Food Network show. Good to see Jay stuck around and found a network that would give him a shot.

What Houston Chick said. I just don't see this board jumping on it.

If I was flipping channels, I'd never even consider watching it.

Still won't because I don't know him and the host is not what drives me to watch a show.

I wish someone would do the tailgating show and he'd be perfect I think.

I thought he was great on camera, and it will be an interesting show. Only nitpicky things to be negative about... like I think he mentioned being from Louisiana a little too much. I'm sure he only did it once or twice at each place, but they showed it on the show too much. Every place he went to there was a mention of being from Louisiana in some form.. Which is fine behind the scenes, but when you're cramming 4 places in one show, then you have to hear him mention his Louisiana roots 4-5 times in 30 minutes. That's a production problem though, not Jay. He is great on screen.

I think that is his ultimate goal and what he really wants. Deep Fried America is the network's call, but it'd be silly to turn down the opportunity to get his name out there.

I like Jay and I thought he did a really good job on the show. That being said, how many re-packaged iterations of Triple D can the viewing public stand ? Would love to see more of Jay's technique on display as well as some of the other new stars.

I like the tailgating show idea. But he should do it on ESPN....yeah a stretch, but it could be integrated into College Game Day. I think the guy would be a superstar. Food, fans, booze, all of it...

I thought the same thing and it seemed like he was just looking for any reason to mention it. Cajun mustard? ohh yeah I am from Louisiana. Cayenne? You know us Louisiana boys gotta have it!
