I thought 1,2 & 3 had the best, and not many people are voting for them

I've probably seen every Chopped episode ever aired, and that's too much of a generalization. every judge is different, every episode is different and they judge dishes based off of a wide array of criteria each time.

Well that does account for most of the presentation. The rest is a description on presentation. So each submission is judged on presentation and preparation. Half and half.

Taste, Presentation, Originality. That's the criteria. You must have all 3.
Since we can't taste it, its all about Presentation and Originality.

It's the internet, to think this wouldn't heavily influence the vote is ludicrous.

the candied bacon is the coolest use of the peppermint IMO FWIW.

not necessarily. I also based my voting off of how they prepped & cooked everything, what other pantry ingredients they used, seasonings, technique. I think I gathered a pretty good idea based off of the descriptions what would taste good.

I can reveal anytime you guys want.
I had planned on leaving the voting open for a few days but 4 is ahead by like 22 votes.

Right, we can't taste them, we can't smell them, we have no video of the process, just description and pictures.
I'm going to have to break out the good camera next time instead of just using my phone.

I disagree in a sense. I find myself asking in which one of these dishes am I going to like/dislike the peppermint addition.
for me 4 was the one that disguised it the best, broken down finely & added to the bacon. I thought it was the best usage of the peppermint by far. It was simple, but you know the sweetness works with the bacon. And the mint was very fine. I cant imagine eating #8 and trying to crunch through those peppermint chunks. very unappetizing in the mind
It may not have been the most original, mixing everything into a patty. But it was presented well & i think executed the peppermint the best.

#1 gets 3 votes
#2 gets 2 votes
#3 gets 1 vote
Thats how I did it.
So while 7, which is 2nd right now, could technically come back if enough people voted it 1, its still a pretty sizable difference at this point. Very sizable.

Like I said..preparation and presentation.

I agree. I would love love love to try that bacon. Trust me, I would eat the frick out of that burger.

I did as well. That's why I created a bracket, so I could pair entries first. It was too overwhelming to me otherwise and I didn't want it to be just based on how it looked.
