at first they used a four cheese blend.. it was fairly good.

then when delivery prices went up they switched to using only one and it's the shredded mozz.

it could have changed since i quit in august but they did originally go down on quality. it takes around $5 for the ingredients to make a pizza here.

It could be the stuff they baste the crust in also. They "paint" it with some type of oil or something after its cooked.

Hmm. This says to figure 30% as an average cost of food for a restaurant.

Look, I'm thrilled S&G is down the road from my house and really wish they would do swimmingly. Just in a little less oil, OK?

Yeah, 70-75% profit doesn't mean anything if business takes a dive.

Yeah who would think to try and get pizza at a pizza joint!

Schlitz & Giggles (much like every other restaurant owned by Jack,Brandon, et al.) is substandard at best. Seriously, Walk-On's is a culinary joke and S&G's is about as piss poor an attempt at pizza as one can find.

Yet people still go to these places...why? Because 90% of people going out to eat are idiots (this excludes the F&D snobs ). The only reason places like this stay in business is because the majority are willing to put up with shite for food (Walk-On's is a different story, because they rake in money during football season).

Saying their pizza would be good except for the grease, cheese, whatever is like saying "my restaurant would be great...except for all these rats running around". It doesn't make a difference why they have shitty food...they still have shitty food and (you would think) they should have been weeded out. But no, the majority are willing to put up with shite.

And normally i wouldn't care, but S&G is taking up a spot that could be something better or different. Maybe it could've been a korean bbq place or a brasserie? Who knows?! But now it's a shitty pizza place (because br doesn't have enough of those). If you aren't pizza, mexican, cajun, or a chain in BR, then you are starting with a handicap.

Sorry for the rant.

The pizza sucks.

BR eaters are sheep.

A Korean BBQ would be better.

what time does S & G close? I work at a bar downtown on third and have always wondered if they get a decent drunk food crowd after we shut our doors.
