No known anti-venom.

In most cases, a nice feast may turn into a deadly game of Russian roulette. So, would you take the risks of eating these deadly delicacies? “Fugu” or Pufferfish This goes on top of my list as the world’s deadliest delicacy. Even a drop of toxin from a Pufferfish or Fugu (in Japanese) can immediately leave you paralyzed, followed by death.

It is not believed that puffers produce toxins themselves, as puffer fish kept in tanks or fish farms are totally free of either toxin. The gastric contents of shellfish prey are believed to carry the toxins or their precursors, which are stored in the puffers organs.

Treatment consists of supportive care and intestinal decontamination with gastric lavage and activated charcoal. Case reports suggest that anticholinesterases such as edrophonium may be effective.

Since 1958, fugu chefs must also earn a license to prepare and sell fugu to the public. This involves a two- or three-year apprenticeship. The licensing examination process consists of a written test, a fish-identification test, and a practical test, preparing and eating the fish. Only about 35 percent of the applicants pass.[6] Small miscalculations result in failure or, in rare cases, death. This training process makes it safer to eat fugu in restaurants or markets

two to three years learning how to cut a fish. I wouldn't be afraid.

For something that could kill you if you cut it wrong I would think the guy would take a little more time to prepare it

I like how they start clapping when he's finished cleaning the fish. If I were them, I wouldn't start clapping until I finished eating it and didn't die

No way I'd eat it. If I'm gonna die or get really sick, it's not going to be because of a puffer fish.
