Very predictable. Such restaurants require the chef/owner to be very involved 24/7. It was only a matter of time before they got burnt out. Probably burnt out two years ago.

My wife and I have eaten there a few times, most recently over the Thanksgiving holiday. I really liked it, thought the menu was interesting with some new-ish takes on local food.

IMO, he should have never moved from the Kaliste Saloom location. The Office Depot shopping center lease has to be priced higher than giraffe balls.

You're thinking of Brick & Spoon. Dark Roux opened at the old Brick & Spoon location on Kaliste.
The article says he's closing because they're expecting a baby and he needs to focus on that. He's taking a 9 to 5 kind of job.
