We both agree that El Come makes the best tacos we've ever had though. Their tortas aren't bad either and the churros with the chocolate sauce are to die for, and I'm not even a desserts guy.
I've never been but now I'm pretty sold.
Ever been to El Tizoncito off Lemmon? Really good street style tacos.

ZaLat pizza next door is good takeout/ delivery pizza. And Strangeways is a block south on Fitzhugh and is my favorite craft beer hangout. The brother & sister who own Strangeways keep saying they are going to open a Belgian Bistro w/ Belgian Beers next door. I know they were doing reno work next door byt that was a year ago. Fitzhugh is blowing up so I'm not sure how long the mom & pop places can afford rent over there.

I still remember you mentioning it every time we get El Come. I'll have to try it, but I doubt I'm in the delivery area. I live north off 75 around the Preston Hollow Village area. And when I drive over there, it's usually to get tacos. My go-to takeout pizza in Dallas is actually from whole foods.

I'm always down for a good craftbeer hangout. Do they serve food/wine (for the wife) as well?

Pretty sure they serve wine as it's a full bar. They serve food too but its average. But we sometimes get the hummus plate which is good enough when you are drinking. If we get really hungry, we walk over to El Come or grab a pizza and take it home....or better yet, hit Louie's which is about a mile away.
ETA: The brother and sister are friendly. But they have a couple of bartenders working for them that are not very talkative and maybe don't have a great beer knowledge, even though they have worked there since the place opened about 3 years ago.

Full bar works just as well. I'll have to drop in and check it out one night.

I'll have to try this one out as well. There are so many good tacos in this city.
I hadn't heard of Local down in Deep Ellum before, but it looks like it would be right up my alley. I'll for sure check that out too.
A buddy of mine who's brother lives here told me I should go down there and check out Black Swan Saloon. Might make a night of hitting up those two places.
