-Uncle Ubers Sandwich shop in Deep Ellum. So Legit. Shaved Ribeye, fries, and the secret dipping sauce for fries MMMMMMMMM
-Little Germany in Fort Worth is the best German food I can find in the DFW area.
-Peace Burger in Grapevine (Get the cheese fries with steak).

One t hing. Beware 4 and 5 star ratings here in the DFW area. I have noticed that people in the DFW have no fricking taste buds and rave about how great a mediocre place is.

This! I can't really trust ratings here b/c people of Dallas have no idea what good food is. They rate based on cleanliness, atmosphere, decor, how trendy a place is etc first. The food is secondary it seems like.

Also just a heads up on The Boiling Crab, Tasty Tails type places. People will call it Cajun, but it's more of a Vietnamese style of doing crawfish and seafood. The put the seafood in bags and then flavor it with oil & spices. People here seem to love it but I found it meh. Nothing at all like crawfish in Louisiana. Also watch out b/c these places serve crawfish year round. Not just during crawfish season.

A Tasty Tails opened next to Alamo...for 10lbs of crawfish, some sausage, potatoes, corn--$103.99....I fricking kid you not.

One more place I'll add. Someone earlier said seafood in Dallas sucks. I'll agree but there is one place I found which is pretty tasty and isn't the Vietnamese seafood style

Big fish seafood in downtown grapevine. Has pretty tasty non bag boiled la crawfish during the season.

Big fish in grapevine is legit.

I think it's unfair to say all seafood in dfw sucks. There are 7 million people in the metroplex. They are out there and their are tons of people from LA here that have started places, you just have to know where to find them.

Tell us where that is.....and where you don't have to be on the corporate dole to afford it. I'm talking $15 entrees .....I ate at 20ft seafood last night.....perfectly fine and perfectly bland. Rex's....haha.....TJs haha....S&D Oyster....which dallas people love.....has to be the the worst crap in Dallas.... Hook Line and Sinker is pretty good. And Half Shells is good. And there is some good sushi here.

i live in the burbs and dont go out of my way for seafood because i just cook it myself.

when i want my fix for under $15 i stick to Fish Shack, Tasty Tails and Cajun Tailgators up in the Plano/Allen area. all 3 are pretty good IMO. Cajun Tailgators are some friends of friends from Lake Charles and good people and do a good job.

i dont have a 5 star pallet like you so i guess im just a simpleton.

im just amazed you ever leave your house to eat considering 90% of the stuff you dont like or think is pure dog crap. you should move back to NOLA

im just not a food snob, i appreciate good food and know the places i like. are there a ton of snobby overpriced places in DFW, sure and the typical Dallasite pays it and good for them. doesnt mean there arent hundreds of other restaurants that dont get the spotlight. i stick to those and always know where to find great food

and yes when the boss is in town and company pays i think we have some of the best steakhouses around. ill tear up some Nick and Sams, Bob's, or Al Biernets any day.

Heads or Tails Crawfish LLC for catering seafood in DFW hands down. They are from Thibodaux and do it right.
