Are there any good Indian resturants in Southeast Louisiana? Just curious.

Bay leaf is the best in BR. The others are pretty good too.

Saffron, a catering outfit in Gretna, does special dinners that are open to the public. Next one focuses on Indian street food on Jan 26: LINK

I pass by it occasionally when I go to my friends place and I always wonder if they are any good

They're good, they just have a fairly small buffet. It's all high quality stuff, just not a lot to choose from. Bay Leaf is on a different level.

That one mile or so radius has yielded some really good food in the past decade.
Curry n Kabab, the cup and a half at Dempseys, Thai Chili, Montana's, Ronnie's, el Limon's lengua tacos, Pokey's meatball sandwich, New Orleans oyster poboy, Duang Tawan, Bay Leaf etc.
Nothing over the top in fine dining, but it's definitely a rich spot for decent grub.

I usually go to Curry-N-Kabab for their dinner buffet, which Bay Leaf and the other places don't have, as far I know. It's cheap, quick, and of high quality.

I love the casual dining options in that area. Lots of great ethnic food.

I'm a fan of their lunch buffet. Not quite as good as bayleaf, but cheaper and in a more convenient location for me during lunch.
