Is it possible to do? I can make it easy in a pot, but never done it in a slow cooker. If it is possible, could someone share a recipe?

We are having a pot luck at work next week and need something in a slow cooker.

I've never had the red stuff, we are talking real Gonzales style jambalaya.

You could likely use a premade mix like Oak Grove, but I don’t see how it would be possible to get the right color/flavor making jambalaya from scratch in a slow cooker.

Not possible.

Now you could cook it and then transfer to a crockpot, bring it to work and put it on warm a little bit ahead of time.

That's what I figured, and it's what I may have to wind up doing....

I know there is no way it would taste the same, but thought I would ask....

search for some on r/slowcooking. Reddit loves their crocpot jambalaya. It gives me an aneurysm every time I see these yankees brag about their "jambalaya".

I knew a guy who used to make what he called jambalaya in a crock pot and even a rice cooker. To tell you how bad it was, he used sliced hot dog wieners in place of sausage.
