The article said that the downfall of the original place was that the increase in beef prices destroyed their business model. I hope they don’t think that situation has gotten any better.

In the late 90s it WAS 9.99 for steak with potatoes. Or Shrimp with dipping bread was 11.99.

Steaks will be $3-4 more than the last price when they closed. Where is Southerns Chicken? I've been away from Metairie for a few years, and just found out a Chick Filet opened on Severn and Airline. Next to tbe gas station? The biker bar?

If true, they'll do well.
I doubt that'll be the case though. I'm thinking more like $8-10 more, maybe even more than that.

According to a local news report I watched, that's what the prices are going to be. Fox 8 or WWL reported it. Hans whatever his last name is (Jeff Parish councilman) was being interviewed.

The whole appeal of the place was getting steak and potatoes for 9.99-11.99
