Based on a fried catfish thread here, I ate lunch at Crawford's yesterday. Fried catfish was excellent - thin and crispy and better than most. Real waitress, not some college kid and Ken Crawford was eating his lunch also.
You guys that don't know should try it.

I've eaten there many times. Solid food. I enjoy the old school diner atmosphere.

Still think it is Swai they sell there. They call it C-fish I feel for a reason.

I looked over the pieces critically and didn't see anything to suggest it wasn't US farm catfish. I thought about asking Ken but didn't. I figured if it was Swai it didn't matter as it was great and my overall experience was 100%.
Waitress kept me in fish and tarter sauce and my tea glass full without asking if I needed anything - I'm going back.

What were you specifically looking for???

Filets were cut - not full pieces and meat was snow white and about 1/4" thick.
Looked like the blue cat that I catch on jugs and cook at the house. I prefer my pieces cut over a long filet.

They sell imported bullshite.
If it was catfish, it would say catfish.
You should have asked Ken. I’m sure he would have been very very truthful.
A fricking fast casual place Off The Hook even sells actual catfish and gulf shrimp. Pathetic on Crawford’s part.

Can you tell us that you know for fact it’s not US catfish?

My parents eat there often, and took us the last time we were in BR. It was great.
Divey place but I like that.

Their menu on their website only lists C-Fish which seems like a way to get around calling it catfish.
Their Facebook lists this:

So no clue what it actually is.
