Gulf Runner Seafood

We haven’t used them yet this year but their prices were decent last year and it’s fresh sacks from somewhere in Central LA. You meet them at a drop off point and pay them and go home and cook them the way you want them.

There isn’t a place around that can cook them like somebody from LA and not charge a ridiculous amount.

Honestly, I would pay the ridiculous amount if the crawfish were actually good. But they aren't, so I'm stuck boiling at least a sack every time I want some.

We have been getting our crawfish from Bayou Market in Lewisville for the last few years.

LINK

They also have all the stuff you will need to boil them as well. Sometimes you can find Manda and/or Savoie's sausage at a Fiesta Market.

if you go to Plano tell the owner ref came from
Raul -The Cajun Store.... Always good.

Bayou Market in Lewisville for live and boiled. Pick up a couple of loaves of authentic New Orleans poboy bread while there. They fly it in weekly. They also have a nice little cajun grocery section.

I'm interested in a place about to open in Colleyville, too. T-Johnny’s Seafood & Cajun Market is set to open in mid-March at 5409 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville. We'll see.

The BEST cajun food in the DFW area is Boo-Ray's in Lake Worth. No one else is even close. KILLER bread pudding. KILLER etouffee. Awesome dirty rice. Great fried food. HUGE arse fried platter! Great blackened. Authentic poboy bread from NOLA. Awesome Swamp Thing drink. Watch for the occasional Groupon for $14 for $20 worth of food.

Hopefully they are finish up w/ constriction on 26 by the time they open. That road work has taken down about 4 or 5 different business.

Have not been there in a while, was owned by a friend of mine from Cuba who grew up in NOLA....not sure if he still owns it.

...but for live crawfish, quality go to Capt Dave's in Plano. I know David (different David) from Cajun Crawfish Co. brings them in as well.
