I'm heading to Boston this weekend, any good local brews to try besides Sam Adams? Won't have time to check out any breweries or bring anything back, but looking for good stuff on tap. TIA

Yes, there will be a lot of good beer to choose from up there. Harpoon is another widely distributed local, but there are dozens of breweries in the area & region.

There are so many options there I can't even do it justice.

Sunset Grill is by far the best beer bar imo.

Here is a good link to follow. Go there and ask them to just recommend stuff. They'll do you right.

Narragansett

Nothing amazing but solid and very cheap.

Spent 3 years in Boston, if you are staying near downtown back bay beacon hll, harpoon is much easier to get to, and you don't have to go through a shitty tour, just pull up to the bar and start drinking, they'll have all of their special batches on tap

Stay away from the God awful Harpoon crap. Worst beer on Earth.

Highly recommend Jacob Wirth. Tons on draft, great German food, fun piano bar on Friday nights

I'll be in downtown Boston for any bar suggestions, but mainly just looking for new beers to try while up there.
