Any recommendations on must eats in the area? Prefer more on the casual side. Great good with good atmosphere.

I'm all about Pyre. I loved the place when it was Baco Bar, but Pyre is a step up, in my opinion.

The chef has some solid bona fides. Service is usually on point. It can get a little loud, but it isn't obnoxious.

I've not been to Hambone yet. Chef Luke Hildalgo was at Commander's Palace. Myself and three others did a chef's table with him at Commanders and his courses were impeccable. I can only imagine his new restaurant is just as good. I need to go try it soon.

There’s no ‘must eats’ on the Northshore since La Provence closed, aside from Sal & Judy’s.

But the burgers are really good at Rusty Pelican and Baan Thai is always solid.

It's really good, but some ppl get turned off bc of the sometimes "try-hard" nature of the menu. At it's core it's mostly new orleansy comfort food with a unique touch. To each their own but not everyone will be a fan.

They know how to fry chicken that's for damn sure.

Crazy pig is always packed. I need to try that place.

Hambone, meribo, lola would be my 3 recs. On the way out of town grab some empanadas from Empa taco and eat them on the River or if you want something sweet ice cream from Ziggys
