I've heard they pay their employees well. They rarely have a 50 minute wait at the register like the other warehouse club. The quality of their branded products is above average. A 10% hike every 5 years isn't so bad.
That said, if Amazon Prime goes up a dollar I'm dropping it. Not getting the value I once was.

What are the levels of membership and what do you get by going to a higher level? IOW, which level should I get?

I have executive but forget why.

The executive gives you 2% cash back on your purchases every year. If you don't earn the cost of the executive membership($110) than they will refund you the difference from what you didn't earn. Getting the executive membership is a no brainer. Plus you can cancel your membership at any time no questions asked for a refund along with returning any item no questions asked.

I'll most likely keep the membership, but I will be more active when eating food samples.
Bastards no longer carry two items I used to buy.

That's nothing. I believe Costco has way more pricing power than that. I was expecting $20, not $5.

ETA: This is in connection with the Costco Visa.

This is good to know. I always turn them down when they ask me if I want to upgrade thinking to myself that I dont spend enough there for it to really matter to earn the 2% If it pays for itself, then I need to make the switch.
