I’m putting a 15lb brisket on tonight about 8 for lunch tomorrow. My wife (no pics) wants chopped beef baked potatoes tomorrow so we need to cook the potatoes too.

Has anybody cooked potatoes on a smoker at 250 that can share if it turned out good or not? They’ll be wrapped in foil so the smoke shouldn’t get through to them too much. How long do they need to cook for at 250 if I go this route? Any other tips or tricks I should consider?

TIA for your help and happy Father’s Day gents!

I don’t know. Might want to try wrapping them in a lot of foil and cooking them directly on the coals for a couple of hours.

No idea if it’s an electric smoker.

Poke a few air release holes, little olive oil, and then season outside with salt/pepper or a steak seasoning. 3 hours on 250 and they will be good. Don’t even need to wrap them in foil. They will be nice and soft.

Then why bother? Just cook them the usual way.
