I don't see any way to drink more beer in 2013 than I did in 2012. I will endeavor to persevere though.

I'm sure you will accomplish that extremely loft goal.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I am off to a good start, I must say.

Mardi Gras followed very closely by LSU baseball and you have really hit the ground running.

It's just proof of what a simple, country upbringing can do for a person. While most kids were out running wild the streets, young Gris was on Granny's farm slopping hogs, milking chickens, feeding cows and whatnot. It was tough love around the Gris farm with chores starting at daylight and lasting till dark. The saying "working from can to can't" was coined by young Gris at age 3. While most girls were getting Barbe dolls young Gris was getting a new hay fork. Although she did not realize it then, her simple upbringing was laying the foundation for a lifelong of accomplishments. Which all culminated yesterday as she reached the pinacle of success. The prestigious TD Emeril. Take a bow Gris. After you finish mucking out the stalls of course.

Mr. Balls, thank you so much for recognizing the hard life I had growing up milking chickens and slopping sheep. Such a delightful depiction of my hard work. I'm going to use it as my acceptance for any other awards I receive in the future and maybe my eulogy.

However, Mr. Balls, do remember that I have spells for everything and your last "vacation" was a long one.

Kim Jong, I think there should be separate food and drink awards for this board. We are worthy of dual recognition and you surely would have been in the running and probably winner of the drink section. I believe the board should rally next year for an Emeril and whatever y'all want to call the drink award.

we like GrisGris. she's matronly, but in a coquettish way.

WTH! Matronly? I'm glad you like me, R2R, but I'm not matronly and I may have to think up a spell for you!

i'll bet gris gris would be a helluva lot of fun to have a couple of martinis with ..

Rag, you are correc that I'm fun to drink with. No martinis for me, but I'll have the gin and plenty of it. Don't know about sparks, but there could be fireworks.

Kos, Caplewood has been around for a good while. I "think" he took an involuntary vacation once, though. He knows his stuff here.

Glass, thanks.

Thanks to everyone who voted for me and for the congrats. To those of you who are already speculating on next year, I haven't gotten to bask in my glory for even 24 hours yet and y'all are putting me in the grave. Damn, at least let me have the big head for a full day!

The nature of politics. 1 second after the election it is time to get back in campaign mode.

Try a thinly sliced cucumber floating on top. Takes it to another level.

Yep, soon as I saw "matronly" I knew he was in trouble.

After I was here a few weeks someone asked me if I was actually 70.

Oh, you're just saying Gris is a prison guard. In that case I take back the death by interveneous cheese product overdose.

I'd rather get shredded by the prop of an Evinrude.
